Besides photographic equipment i do have a weak spot for vintage HiFi. When i was a kid i could only dream of owning an AKAI cassette deck with the famous Super GX TwinField heads. They were just too expensive.... soon CD took over and people forgot tape even existed.
My kids laugh and wonder how it's possible to get music out of some weird brown tape!
This is a detail shot from a GX-M10 deck i found in a second hand shop this week. I paid 5 euros.... who can resist such a dinosaur of quality for that kind of money? For old times sake and my boxes full of TDK SA and MA tapes, this thing works and it will go on for a long time!!

I still listen to music from cassettes... Recently my dad brought a Sony recorder, quite new, with CD player (reads MP3), but the CD player is broken. But I don't care - it was just as well that the cassette player works perfectly.
