I like it too, This and the one under the Christmas tree are undoubtedly your two best people photos. what makes this one more challenging than usual is that red is a color that most portrait photographers avoid. The eye is drawn to the color red, and it usually distracts the viewer from the model. You have managed to avoid that by the contrast of her skin with the black background. The eye is also attracted to contrasts and you have used that to deemphasize the red. Was this intentional?
